What are chocks?
Chocks is a non industry term we use to describe lifting an object above a backing to create the illusion it is floating in the air.
It can be done with virtually anything that has some thickness to it, though we usually use foamcore.
Chocks shouldn't be used with any thing you will be able to see through, such as thin paper, lace, a mask with large eye holes or glass.
No chocks Without chocks.

Yes chocks With chocks.
