Sizes. When working out your size, please understand that most framers will calculate your price off the finished external size you require.
In the below example, the picture is 200*250mm. However the size your framer will want to calculate your price from is 300*350mm.
For further info on measuring works, look at our KIT frame measurements segment.

Apart from your board of studies selected size restrictions, when getting work matted, there are a few other sizes to fit within to make your task more efficient. The reason for this is that mat boards usually come in standard sized boards that are then cut down to custom dimensions. These sizes are.
32*40" (818*1018mm)
40*60" (1018*1524mm)
At framemart however, we round these sizes down to the nearest 100mm, so we can cut off damaged corners. The sizes we work within are.
800*1000mm
1000*1500mm
Diagrams Here are 2 diagrams showing how we price out our HSC work.
To use these tables, you must follow a few simple steps.
- Measure your work & ad any borders necessary to find the finished external size.
- Round your sizes up to the nearest 100mm.
For example. 567 becomes 600,
984 becomes 1000,
1040 becomes 1100 etc.
- Use the table like any time table, to work out the price area your work falls into.

The matted price list is for a single mat & foamcore with no dry mounting or stretching.

The framed price list is for the basic framing of such things as canvas boards or matted works, without glass etc. The price of frames varies a lot, so if you want a fancy framing job or even something a bit middle of the road, you may find this diagram useless.
Prices include GST.
